The Acropolis of Rhodes is one of the finest specimens of Hellenic style of architecture that was known for blending harmoniously with any surrounding environment.

The buildings were strategically built on precipitous terraces that were supported by impregnable walls. Amazingly, the entire Acropolis has yet to be entirely excavated. 

Among many discoveries that can be seen here are the Temple of Athena Polias and Zeus Polieus.  It was here that the people of Rhodes made and kept their treaties with other states/countries. 

Also, one will be able view Nymphaia.  This area had abundant foliage, water cisterns, and was constructed by cutting into the rock that was found there.  It was also a designated place for recreation and worship. The Odeion, used for musical performances and rhetoric classes, a gymnasium, a stadium, a library,  and numerous other relics await you your licensed guide will be a fountain of information.
