Etrim is a nomadic village 24 kms away from Bodrum situated amongst numerous mountains. The first pioneers came here some five hundred years ago and their main occupations are still based on animal breeding, farming and carpet and kilim weaving.  In nomadic tradition, weaving has always been of prime importance and this tradition has passed from mothers to daughters for generations.

The village has a population of only 300 and during the winter, the people produce olive oil and soap (olive oil soap).
