DETAILS: Picked up at your hotel or port (request when booking) taken to see the remarkable and rare 5th BC artifacts  from Hellenistic and advance Minoan civilizations at the  Archaeological Museum. The Museum of Prehistoric Thira will enthrall you with the famous wall frescoes and archaeological discoveries from the “ancient” Akrotiri, 'before' you actually see the excavation site later in the day. Next the the 3,500 year old Akrotiri Site which has been preserved under volcanic ash and lava. Witness how 'modern' ancient life was with their 3 story buildings, wall paintings, store houses, tools and more. Next, great family fun at the Koutsougianopoulo Wine Museum, complete with life size puppets, and wine tasting at the finish. Enjoy the magnificent caldera view and Mediterranean cuisine for lunch before the finale of the day which is sensationally beautiful Oia (EEah) village known worldwide for it's picture perfect Cycladic architecture and sunsets. Then you're escorted back to your origination point.
