Vacation Hot spot Bodrum is NEW addition by Archaeologous

Drumroll.....Bodrum is our newest port that we are servicing with fun fantastic day tours in Turkey along with Istanbul, Izmir, Ephesus and Dikili.  It's a beautiful destination with balmy breezes, perfect weather, crystal clear water and is now rivals Marbella and St. Tropez with tourist acceptance.

The most major landscape by day or night is the  Bodrum Castle of the Knights of St. John which houses the Museum of Underwater Archaeology. This is a really exciting experience. You'll see the fabulous gold seal of Queen Nefertiti from the famous 14th century BC shipwreck. The castle was built by the medieval Knights of St John who built the castle from stones that were once a part of the Mausoleum of Halicarnnassus (one of the Seven wonders of the World). Or, maybe you want to learn to dive or go diving or perhaps spend a delicious day 'bay hopping" on a gulet. These traditional boats conceived here in Bodrum are especially for these waters.

With the ease of landing at the airport, only 21 miles away, to the two crystal clear bays for boating, swimming, and diving, plus, accommodations for every ones' pocketbooks, Bodrum has gained immense popularity.

There is everything from small standard hotels, to inexpensive B&B's and now a new category; elite and exclusive. Don't be surprised if you think you see Tom Cruise, Catherine Zeta Jones, or sports figures, because you are! Bodrum is a delightful 'find' for everyone.

HISTORY: Starting in 377 BC Mausolus, with his queen/sister Artemisia, ruled for 24 years over this area. Upon his death she commissioned a monument in his honor. Due to it's beauty it became one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Today by visiting the Bodrum castle you will be able to see how the stones from the earthquake destroyed monument were used by the Knights of St. Paul.
