HIGHLIGHTS:  A history buff's dream tour.Visit the former ancient harbor town, Priene. See the remains of the grand Temple of Athena, Alexander the Great's House, the Gymnasium, and Stadium. The tour then moves to Miletus,  which was once a port city. Admire the most impressive theatre of Anatolian history, the Hellenistic Gymnasium, the Byzantine Church of St. Michael, the Mosque and Synagogue. Lunchtime is on the way to Didyma. At Didyma, stand in awe of the 60' high columns of the Temple of Apollo, the location  of the Oracle of Apollo that gave advice and pronouncements to Alexander the Great, King Croesus, and other great leaders that literally changed the course of human history! There was ten mile sacred road lined with statues of lions, sculptures and sarcophagi from Miletus to this Oracle. Lastly, a little shopping time in Port Kusadasi for great Turkish souvenir treasures.
