3 Multi-Day Pre Set Olympia, Delphi, Mycenae, Nafplion guided tour

Day One: Corinth Canal, Epidaurus, Mycenae, Nafplion overnight in Olympia. After being picked up at your hotel we depart in A/C comfort for the engineering marvel of the Corinth Canal. Your licensed guide will explain how construction was attemped over a 2,500 year period.

We will continue on to Epidaurus to visit the world famous Ancient Theater with it's famous perfect acoustics and then on to a UNESCO World Heritage site, Mycenae, one of the major centers of Greek civilizations and land of Homer's golden fleece. Here you visit the Lion's Gate in the Cyclopean Walls, the Royal Tombs of Agamemnon and the 14th century BC Treasury of Atreides, 

After that, we depart for Nafplion, a beautiful seaside town, once the capital of Greece. There will be time for lunch and souvenir shopping and then on to Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympic Games. Overnight stay in Olympia.

DAY 2:  Olympia, drive to Delphi and time in Arahova. In the morning, after your hotel's breakfast, you will be escorted to Olympia and educated by your personal guide who will show you the Olympia Archaelogical Site, home to the Temple of Zeus, the Temple of Hera, the Altar of the Olympic Flame, the Stadium and the Olympic Archaeological Museum. 

Next, we depart along the coastal road to Delphi, known in ancient times as "the navel of the world" where the Oracle of Delphi gave advice to the ancient world leaders. You'll get a feeling for the Greece countryside as we pass the towns of Patras, Antirion, and Galaxidi. A break for lunch to relish authentic Greek cuisine and, in the afternoon, we will visit the hillside perched picturesque village of Arahova.  Overnight stay in Delphi. 

DAY 3: Delphi Site and Museum,  drive back to Athens 

On this final day, we visit the Delphi Archaeological Site and Museum. We pass by the ever-running ancient Castalia Spring to enter the Site. From the start, there is a feeling of quiet grandeur as one walks and soaks in the history of the Monument of the Argive Kings, the Temple of Pronaia, the Treasury of the Athenians, the Athenian Stoa, the Polygonal Wall, and the Monument of Platea. 

The highlight is the Temple of Apollo, famous for its Oracle. Enjoy the Delphi museum by seeing the spectacular exhibits which includes the frieze of the Treasury of the Sifnians, the Naxian Sphinx, the gorgeous Statue of Antinoos, the Metopes of the Athenian treasury, and the famous bronze Charioteer.

Finally, you are comfortably escorted back to Athens through Levadia and Thebes where you will arrive in Athens early in the evening. Overnight stay in Athens.
