Positive predictions for Greece tourism in 2014

Archaeologous, Huffington Post and the Assoc. of Greek Tourism Enterprises all think in 2014 Greece will live up to the predictions of it being the most popular year for tourism. Huffington Post's travel expert Peggy Goldman, mentioned in Jan that the Greek islands "have remained one of the most romantic vacation spots in the world, like Santorini, sitting among the most amazingly gorgeous azure sea, with iconic sheer cliffs and whitewashed houses".  Also noting that, "Athens is still a hub of history and culture, the birthplace of Western civilization". She goes on to project that Greece is poised to bounce back in popularity in 2014. She notes that the impact on safety of travelers to Greece, the pristine beauty of the beaches, the crystal clear waters and historic legendary sites have not been compromised due in spite of the economic problems.

The Association of Greek Tourism Enterprises (SETE), the main tourism body in Greece, has predicted that 2014 will be Greece’s most popular year for tourism ever, taking in 18 million arrivals in 2014! The prices are right, the Greek people are ready, and legendary Greece is waiting.
